Launching the Imagination, pages 91-111
Angles and perspectives have intrigued me for the past couple of years. In high school, I took photography and knew nothing about it. When I say this, I don't just mean how to use a camera. I remember thinking I could get the same shot whether standing far away and zooming in, or shooting close to the object. (I can't believe my past self..) I've since learned the significance of viewpoint, and how it changes the picture. I've fallen on love with macro photography. Knowing what distance will look best, what I'm trying to achieve, and from which angle affects the whole picture. Some objects will look great up close, like a small flower, while other, larger objects will look .. Well, bloated if shot too closely. Understanding angles and perspectives have brought my photography to a new level. I can't bear to look at my old pictures! They disgust me!
No. Disgust? Really? Always nice to look back and see your progression and development as a creative practitioner! :)
