Critiques

[[355]]
Launching the Imagination 134-139

(I feel like I'm about to critique the chapter about critiques. Random ironic thoughts!)

Even though we've been doing critiques in my classes for a while, it was interesting to read different types of critique, how to improve your critique, and how to take critisism.

I think I can give some pretty good insights about what I notice, or what I think could have been done better. They're always short and to the point, but I think that's just how I work. I can also take critisism pretty well, since I usually see worse things myself, as the artist.

I've never been much of a writer, and I feel I could never make such a well thought out response to any piece of art. I can see how diagonals can split a painting, but I don't think I could give a description with such intricacy and put it in a compelling way. It does help that the chapter has examples of a critique.
